Healthcare is ultimately about people.

Behind every statistic is a mother seeking safe delivery, a child requiring urgent treatment, a family waiting outside the theatre, a patient beginning dialysis, or someone arriving at our Emergency Department during one of the most vulnerable moments of their life.

Our responsibility is to be ready for them.

Nyambene Sub-County Hospital has undergone significant growth over the years. We have expanded our inpatient capacity, strengthened emergency care, introduced and expanded specialist services, improved our diagnostic capabilities and invested in infrastructure that brings a wider range of healthcare services closer to the communities we serve.

But our journey is not complete.

Our vision is to develop Nyambene into a stronger referral, specialist and teaching hospital, capable of meeting the changing healthcare needs of Igembe and the wider region.

This requires more than buildings and equipment. It requires competent and compassionate healthcare workers, strong systems, responsible leadership, appropriate technology, effective partnerships and a culture in which every patient matters.
