Teaching and Training
Why we teach
Nyambene Sub-County Hospital works with universities, medical training colleges and other recognised educational institutions to provide clinical exposure and practical training for healthcare students and trainees.
Teaching and training contribute to the hospital’s broader role by supporting professional development, strengthening evidence-based practice and providing opportunities for clinical learning, research and innovation.
The hospital provides a practical clinical environment where students and trainees can gain experience in patient care, teamwork, clinical documentation and the day-to-day delivery of healthcare services.

- You report with the required documents. Students and trainees should bring an introduction letter and valid identification, together with any other documents required for their discipline or placement.
- Orientation before clinical work. Students and trainees receive orientation on relevant hospital procedures, including infection prevention and control, patient confidentiality, documentation and clinical escalation.
