General Outpatient Department

Consultation, diagnosis and treatment for adults and children, including wound care and assessment of urgent presentations.

The General Outpatient Department provides consultation, diagnosis and treatment for a range of medical conditions and minor injuries. Laboratory and imaging investigations are available during the same visit where clinically indicated.

The department provides:

  • General medical consultations for new illnesses and minor injuries
  • Follow-up care for chronic conditions.
  • Minor procedures, including wound dressing, suturing, and incision and drainage
  • Laboratory tests and imaging investigations, where clinically indicated
  • Access to prescribed medicines and medication counselling through the pharmacy
