Surgery and Theatre
The Surgery and Theatre Department provides elective and emergency surgical care across a range of surgical specialties. Services are supported by appropriate anaesthesia, theatre facilities, pre-operative assessment and post-operative monitoring. Patients receive inpatient care where admission is required.
Emergency surgery is arranged promptly following clinical assessment and stabilisation. Patients scheduled for elective procedures receive appropriate pre-operative assessment and instructions, including guidance on required investigations and fasting.
