Patients may be referred from any hospital department.
The service provides:
- Rehabilitation to improve independence in daily activities following illness, injury or surgery
- Paediatric occupational therapy for children with developmental needs, including guidance and training for parents and caregivers
- Hand function assessment and rehabilitation
- Positioning and functional activity training
- Energy conservation and activity-management strategies
- Assessment and provision of assistive devices and guidance on home adaptations
