Haemodialysis and renal care for patients requiring ongoing kidney treatment, with referrals accepted from across the region.

The Renal Unit provides assessment and management of kidney conditions, including haemodialysis for patients with kidney failure requiring renal replacement therapy. The unit enables patients from the Igembe region to access renal care closer to home.

Patients receive specialised renal nursing and clinical care, with nephrologist services available on a scheduled monthly basis. The SHA desk assists eligible patients with the administrative requirements and authorisation process for dialysis services.
